Every car you can book on Shazza has insurance included. Here's a detailed look at the main insurance types, what to keep in mind, and the steps we take to keep you covered.
Primary Coverage Types
Our car rental partners typically offer essential protections, including:
- Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): Limits your liability for accidental damages to the rental vehicle, covering a significant portion of repair costs.
- Theft Protection (TP): Provides security in the event of vehicle theft or unauthorized use.
- Third-Party Liability (TPL): Protects you against claims for damages to other vehicles or property, a mandatory requirement under UAE law.
Please Note: CDW and TP are not comprehensive and may exclude specific areas, like tires, windows, or the vehicle chassis. Review the policy provided by the rental company or contact us to confirm these details for your chosen vehicle.
Insurance Deductibles
In most cases, an insurance deductible (the maximum amount payable in case of an incident) applies. For added peace of mind, please verify or inquire about the deductible amount on your specific rental, as it can vary based on the car type and coverage level.

Documenting the Vehicle Condition
To ensure a secure and transparent experience, Shazza requires thorough documentation of the vehicle's condition at both the start and end of your rental period. You will be prompted to upload the following:
Exterior Photos (8): Take clear shots of the front, back, sides, and all four corners to capture the entire exterior.
Interior Photos (3): Take clear shots of the front seats, back seats, trunk.
Dashboard Photo:Capture the mileage and fuel level.
Additionals: Any additional photos of damages on the car
These photos act as a record to shield you from liability for any pre-existing damage, making sure the car is returned in the same condition and offering you added security.
